Privacy policy
Effective date: 11 October 2026 · balconia.in
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it when you use Balconia.in.
1. Who we are
Balconia.in is operated by BPM Creations (“Balconia”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
- This policy applies when you use our website or app, buy products from us, book a makeover service, create an AI balcony design, or contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp.
- By using our services or giving us your information, you consent to its use as described here. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see Section 8).
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and account details: name, mobile number, email address, delivery and billing addresses, and GSTIN or company name if you need a business invoice.
- Order details: products bought, order history, wishlist and preferences.
- Makeover service details: site address, photos and videos of your balcony, terrace or room, measurements, floor plans, sunlight and watering conditions, your style preferences and budget, catalogue picks, and any building or society rules you share with us.
- Messages: what you send us through customer support, WhatsApp, email, reviews or feedback forms.
Payment information
Payments are handled by third-party payment gateways where used. We do not store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials. We keep only transaction references, amounts and payment status. For Cash on Delivery, we keep the contact and delivery details needed to fulfil your order.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system, browser, IP address, app version, pages viewed, and crash and diagnostic logs.
- Location, only if you allow it, to check delivery and service availability in your area and estimate delivery times. You can turn location access off in your device settings. PIN-code checks may also be used to estimate coverage.
3. How we use your information
- To process, deliver and support your product orders, including returns and replacements.
- To plan, quote, schedule and carry out makeover services, and to send our team to your site.
- To create personalised AI balcony visualisations from photos and answers you submit, and to save related design records to your account.
- To process payments, issue invoices, and meet tax and accounting requirements.
- To send order, delivery and appointment updates by SMS, email or WhatsApp.
- To share plant care instructions and follow-up reminders.
- To answer questions and resolve complaints.
- To understand how our website and app are used and improve them.
- To send offers and newsletters, only where you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to comply with the law.
4. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to serve you:
- Delivery partners: name, phone number and address, to deliver your order.
- Makeover team and partners: site address, contact details and project details, shared with our staff and the carpenters, plumbers, electricians or other workers who carry out your project.
- Payment gateways: to process your payment, where online payment is used.
- Service providers: cloud hosting, databases, AI image providers (when you consent to a personalised render), analytics, messaging (including WhatsApp Business), email and customer support tools.
- Authorities: when required by law, a court order, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
Everyone we share data with is expected to use it only for the job we have given them and to keep it secure.
5. Photos of your space
- Photos and videos you send us, or that we take during a site visit, are used to plan and deliver your project, and — when you consent — to generate an AI makeover concept.
- We may use photos of completed projects on our website, social media and marketing, as set out in our Terms & Conditions. We will not show your name, address, people, or identifiable personal belongings.
- If you do not want photos of your space used for marketing, tell us before work starts, or ask us to remove published photos at any time by writing to the Grievance Officer.
6. Cookies & third-party services
- Our website and app use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember your cart and preferences, measure traffic, and improve performance.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as the cart, may not work properly without them.
- We use third-party tools such as payment gateways, analytics, push notifications and messaging services. Each has its own privacy policy for the data it handles.
7. Security & retention
- We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections, to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
- No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the authorities as required by law.
- We keep your information only as long as needed to complete orders and projects, honour warranties, handle disputes, and meet legal and tax requirements. After that, we delete or anonymise it.
- If you close your account or withdraw consent, we will delete your data within a reasonable time, except what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
- correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information
- delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements
- withdraw consent you have given; this will not affect anything we did before you withdrew it
- stop sending you marketing messages (you can also use the unsubscribe link or reply STOP)
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to do so
To make a request, contact the Grievance Officer in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity first. We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Children
Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without a parent’s or guardian’s consent. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you directly about significant changes.
